Course Description

The 30-hour class is more appropriate for supervisors or workers with some safety responsibility. Through this training, OSHA helps to ensure that workers are more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights, and contribute to our nation's productivity.

By December 1, 2018, all workers and supervisors are to have a combination of training which could include the OSHA 30hr course on NYC construction projects that require a site safety plan (including a construction superintendent). The final stage of implementation is to be completed by October 1, 2019 with final implication requiring a proposed 40hr to 55hr of safety training all together for workers and between 60 and 75 hrs of safety training for supervisors.
